Sofia Sajjid

Hey everyone! Attending my first MUN changed my perspective concerning how I see the world around me. I am Sofia Sajjid and I am honored to serve as one of the Secretaries-General for DSMUN 2023. As a current-day teen, I enjoy learning about politics, economics, and the world's most pressing issues. DSMUN serves as a stepping stone for the expression of young, ambitious minds' diplomatic viewpoints. It is designed to be a meaningful, social, and educational event for today's aspiring youth and future leaders. 

I look forward to the conference with the hope of giving delegates an unforgettable experience, and we, the secretariat, are always here to help! Can’t wait and see you all soon!

Greetings Delegates! My name is Aamir Renzy Jamal and I have the honor of serving as your Secretary-General for DSMUN 2022.

In this era of uncertainty, MUNs provide a platform for like-minded students to engage in meaningful conversations around global issues. I look forward to seeing delegates fiercely debate and discuss important and relevant agendas. My advice to all delegates: research, engage and debate.

Aaliyah Vaz

I'm a Year 13 student looking to go into Computer Science and Physics. I'm also a strong believer in accesible education on technology to all and, enjoy gaming and working out in my free time.

Kaydence Thomas

Hi guys!

My name is Kaydence Thomas and I am the Co-Head of Logistics for DSMUN 2023. 

I attended my first MUN before the pandemic and was racked with nerves before it even started. However, after participating in a few online MUN's since, I've realized that there is nothing daunting about MUN's and they are actually a fascinating, fun way to learn a little bit more about the world we reside in today. I'm thrilled to be hosting this year's MUN and want to help others develop the same deep appreciation of MUN that I do.

Yehansa Dayarathna

Hi Everyone! My name is Yehansa Dayarathna and I'm thrilled to be a part of this team! I took part in my first MUN in year 9 and since, MUNs have been my favourite!

This year I have the opportunity to work behind the scenes! I’ve recently dived into the world of media and I’m in awe of the wonders it beholds! I’ve grown to become an enthusiast when it comes to capturing moments and website design. I’m so glad to have been given this opportunity to showcase what I’ve learnt through my experience and provide the audience with informative and quality content!

Hello everyone! My name is Nancy Gidwani and I am a year 13 student, I am honored to welcome you all as the Head of the Finance of DSMUN'23 I have a keen interest in economics, IT

and maths along with public speaking and debating. This DSMUN we are looking forward to encourage potential future leaders to strive, give their best and create wonderful memories at this great platform.

Javaria Batool

Hey everyone, I’m Javaria Batool, your Head of Volunteers this year. DSMUN is a conference I’ve been a part of since I was in year 9, and I’ve always looked up to the people who worked behind the scenes to make each conference a success. I’m in Year 13 now and can manage responsibilities more efficiently, hence why I became part of the core team to make sure this DSMUN is one of the best yet.

All of you will have so much to take back from this year’s conference and I can’t wait to meet everyone!

Hi everyone! I’m Mariam Vaid, one of the Heads of Volunteers and I can’t wait to make this MUN the best one we’ve had so far. 

Growing up, MUN’s always intrigued me. Imagine having the opportunity to create solutions for a plethora of global issues, pretty cool right? I’m immensely grateful for this role and plan to make the best of it.
